About the Author

Jim Claggett spent forty-plus years as a journalist, working in radio, television, newspapers, and magazines. He played a lot of sports growing up and has coached football players from twelve to forty years old. He is an avid golfer and does the play-by-play for the Sylvan Lake Gulls of the Western Canadian Baseball League. He lives in Red Deer, Alberta, with his wife, Janice. They have two children, Taryn and Evan. He is a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta and the Golf Journalists’ Association of Canada.​
