When Curtis Harvey, the sixty-five-year-old coach for the Winakwa Warriors football team, is knocked unconscious during a practice, he wakes up lying on the field. But something is different—for starters, he's wearing the practice jersey for the team he played for decades ago. And he’s not bald anymore; he has a full head of hair.

Curtis has somehow travelled back in time to his hometown in 1974, and he’s eighteen again. Although desperate to get back to his wife and kids in the future, he is given a second chance to repair relationships with friends and family. He attends classes, plays football with his old team, and even tries to reconnect with his estranged father.

When Curtis meets another man who time travelled to 1974, they find a scientist who has a plan for them to return to the future. The only problem is: it might not work, leaving Curtis stranded back in time. Will he ever meet his wife? Will he parent his children? Is it worth risking everything for the chance to return to his old life?
